7. Third-party provider services
7.1 Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a Google web analysis service operated by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”), and collects and stores data via this web analysis service from which user profiles are created using pseudonyms. User profiles created in this way are used to analyse visitor behaviour in order to design and improve the content shown on this website to meet the visitor’s needs. Google Analytics use “cookies”, small text files which are stored on your computer and enable us to analyse your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie with regard to your use of this website is normally transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. In the event that IP anonymisation is activated on this website, your IP address will be shortened in advance by Google within the Member States of the European Union or in other signatories to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. Google will use this information on behalf of the website’s operator to analyse use of the website, to compile reports on website activity, and to provide other services relating to website and internet use for the website operator. The IP address sent from your browser as part of Google Analytics is not combined with any other data by Google, and the user profiles managed under a pseudonym are not merged with the user’s personal data without the expressly and separately declared consent of the user. Therefore your legitimate interests should not override those of the controller (point f) of Article 6 paragraph 1 GDPR). You can prevent storage of cookies by adjusting your browser settings accordingly; however, this may mean that some functions of this website may be unavailable. You can also stop Google collecting and processing the data relating to your website use generated by the cookie, by downloading and installing the available browser plug-in via the following link (http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de).
The Google Data Privacy Policies can be viewed at http://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/. More information on Terms of Use and Data Privacy can be found at http://www.google.com/analytics/terms/de.html or http://www.google.com/intl/de/analytics/privacyoverview.html. Please be aware that the “anonymizeip” code has been added to Google Analytics to anonymise the collection of IP addresses (known as IP masking).
7.1 Social Media Links
We have our own social media pages with third-party providers who can be reached via links from this website. You can use the links to reach the relevant third-party provider websites (e.g. Facebook, Twitter). To prevent unnecessary data disclosure before using a link, we recommend that you log out of the relevant third-party provider, so that user profiles cannot be created by the third-party provider through use of the link.
8. Affiliate links and advertising
External websites place affiliate and advertising links or banners to us on their sites. They generate income (advertising fees) when items are purchased from us via this link/banner or if our website is visited. We can install cookies here to discover the source of the orders or visit. However, this has no effect on the use of our website and, in particular, does not constitute an obligation to buy. Affiliate and advertising links and banners are designed solely to facilitate shopping. Our Data Protection Statement shall also apply in this case.
